64 305 arrived in Nördlingen on July 26th 2023

With the touchdown on the tracks in the Nördlingen freight yard on the morning of July 26, 2023, the last leg of the journey in the remarkable history of road number 64 305 was completed. After the locomotive was retrieved from England in March 2023 by Eisenbahn-Bau- und Betriebsgesellschaft Pressnitztalbahn mbH (PRESS) with storage in Sonneberg, BayernBahn GmbH acquired the locomotive in May 2023 after successful purchase negotiations. The 64 305 now supplements the 64 094 and 64 520, which are already at home here in the once important 64 location in Nördlingen, to a respectable three copies and thus brings the BEM and its museum location in the Nördlingen depot an important step closer to the goal of a vehicle exhibition with a close regional connection.
